This place was ridiculously good! I believe I can safely say the best Mexican food I have ever had. And I've had really good Mexican food in Texas, Alabama, and other places. I read reviews before I went and they were basically all very positive. I agree. The salsa was excellent. Had chicken enchiladas with mole sauce. It was amazing! Rice wasn't sticky and tasted great. Flan was the best I've had - not too sweet, no sugar crystals, perfect consistency, just perfect. Service was friendly and helpful. Awesome experience.

Excellent food, drinks and dessert! Absolutely must have a spicy rim on any of their margaritas! Enjoy!

Food was amazing! The place was very nice. Went here for my 30 birthday, got a margarita, was great. Husband got the mole, it was very good, the sauces that came with our guacamole had some kick, overall very good food!

I drove past this little gem many times and the parking lot was always overflowing. I thought to myself, we need to try this place. My father always said, you can judge a good restaurant by how many cars are in the lot. So true Dad! We've been twice in two weeks, and cannot wait till the third time. The lime margaritas are made with freshly squeezed limes, and boy can you tell the difference. Guacamole amazing, tacos amazing, rellenos amazing, that's as far as we got so far. We cannot wait to work our way through the menu. Very authentic cuisine. I just love this place and will not be going to any other Mexican restaurants in the area ever again. Prices are very affordable as well.

Simply amazing. Best food of any kind I have had in a very long time. Price is perfect for the meal, staff is outstanding and worth the drive from Loudoun County.

This place is delish!! It’s really authentic. The service was excellent. Our waitress was Zayra and she was great! I will be back the next time we visit winchester, VA. The coffee is excellent as well.

The most authentic Mexican food I've had since living in VA! The waitstaff is very nice and owner is awesome and very gracious. Molé sauce is to die for!

Stopped here for a bite to eat on a long road trip and we're so glad we did. The food was excellent and reasonably priced for the quality. The guacamole alone was some of the best I've had. Also the front patio is pet friendly. We'll definitely be stopping back next time we're in the area.

This place is wonderful!Homemade food and drinks from scratch. Great people. Comfortable atmosphere. It may look like a hole-in-the-wall from the road but give it a shot. Delicious!

The beef cheek tacos are probably the best I've ever had. I haven't been to many places that serve cheek, but it's the best cut of any animal in my opinion and they prepare it perfectly with a lot of flavor. I was very pleasantly surprised to see that option on the menu and the tacos did not disappoint. The staff are great, they even went out of their way to pour the worm in my Mezcal. Chips and salsa are delicious too, all around great place.

Food is very good, but heads up, the sign says due to covid they have changed their prices. Just paid 16.50 for 3 tacos and a tamale. Sadly don’t think I can afford to come back anymore.

Good mom and pop place, good food, and decently priced. The rice and refried beans are really good which are usually hit and miss at other restaurants.

Best Mexican food I’ve had (except in San Diego)! Every time we go it is very very good. Staff is excellent. Attentive to our table and they make my special needs son right at home. Great place!!

Chips, salsa n Guacamole were good. Flour and corn tortillas needed more cooking! My Munedo was missing the hominy and was told they didn't put it in, just Pozole soup. Were from Texas and hominy is always part of the soup. This is what makes taste good.

Love the food, if you are looking for authentic Mexican food this is the place. Tacos are the best I had in the east coast. Staff is very friendly.

We were in town for a conference and we were craving non-cafeteria food. This was one of the best choices we could have made for food this entire trip! Everything is authentic and delicious! The prices are very fair and the food is freshly made!PS, the churros are to die for! So yummy!

We travel up and down I-81 from SW Virginia to NYC area monthly and this is our treat for the 7-hour drive. Great food and drinks. Not your typical cookie cutter Mexican food. They have unique dishes and must have a real chef. Give it a try. You'll be happy you did.

I didn't know this place existed in Winchester, but now that I do I will be going more often. All of the food was really good and I think thier salsa is the best I've ever had at a restaurant. Everything is house made and if you like things a little hotter you can ask to try thier house made hot sauce. It comes in a few different levels so ask the waitress for what you would like. The desserts looked tasty here but after the meal I didn't have room to try it. One thing to note is that the chips and salsa are bottomless and definitely worth getting, however they are not free, costing $3.

Superb food, friendly staff, too. Its odd to find such great Mexican food out in the wilds of Frederick County but there you have it.We've tried all their tacos and I can't recall better ones in all my travels. Entrees are fantastic and not expensive.Highly recommended and worth the trip.

Upon arriving close to closing, we were met at the front by an employee who warmingly welcomed us in, and never made us feel rushed. The service was top notch, the food was beyond expectation and the price was extremely cheap compared to the environment they offered. This is by far the best restaurant in Winchester, VA.

Great stop on our relationship my drive from Vermont to Virginia. It got me the last 2 hours. I would definitely drive back up there for dinner again. The staff was all very nice and the food was great. You don't see bueso on menus very often.

This place was recommended by the local Chamber of Commerce while visiting Winchester. The food is authentic Mexican food. I had the fried pork with rice and beans and my wife had a chicken burrito. This was the best Mexican food we've had since we went to Sonoma, Arizona a couple of years ago. The guacamole and chips appetizer was delicious. Prices were very reasonable and the service was friendly. The interior was nicely decorated with Mexican artifacts.A must go to place for those travelers driving through Winchester.

The food and drinks were amazing! What really pushes it over the top is the owner and staff. Very accommodating, warm, friendly and just overall welcoming. It felt like we were at a friend or family members home, like we belonged there. Great first experience, certainly won't be the last.

Very good Taqueria for the east coast! Got 6 tacos and they were all good, just has a little something missing to make them exceptional. Still amazing food for the money and will itch the taco craving when you have one. Dishes to note: quesadilla, and Los Tacos De La Dona.

The food here is superb. Best tacos in town! My wife loves their Don Gato burrito. They also recently redesigned the dining room and it looks awesome!

Love this place - after 25+ years in San Diego I have spent a lot of time in Mexico and this place is one of the few true authentic Mexican restaurants in the Winchester area. The owners are friendly, hands on and know their regular guests by first name. The staff including Miriam, Whitney and Andrea (and others) always provide first class service and the kitchen creates a host of fresh and authentic Mexican delicacies including fresh made to order guacamole, Virginia corn based chips, fresh made salsa and the best Mole' sauce for enchiladas and other Mexican favorites. The bar area is quaint and comfortable with a couple of TV's and a great list of margaritas and other drinks. best bet is the Jamiaca margarita with fresh Jamiaca juice and a cinnamon stick garnish. Come casual or dressed up and you will feel right at home. This place is loaded with couples, families and friends and offers a welcoming and laid back environment!

My daughter took me here for dinner. I'm a picky eater so I was not initially thrilled by her choice...... couldn't have been more wrong. This place was wonderful and the service was excellent.

Ordered food. Was marked as ready for pick up at 5:35pm. Arrived and was told at 5:43pm it was not ready. Waited and waited. Approximately 6:10pm it was marked as completed. Waited and waited and still at 6:57 food was not ready. Told at 7:18 that it was not there and that they did not have it and stopped taking orders. Would not fill my order. No option to refund as it was marked as picked up while I waited in the restaurant almost two hours. Charge disputed on credit card with company. I have had plenty of pleasant experiences with them in the past (food and service) but this was unlike those times. I am aware of the date I ordered and attempted to receive food, but am more concerned/annoyed with the fact that it was accepted, processed, and marked as completed. Then was not given any option after waiting an hour and a half for food. Very upset and frustrated. Many other patrons left in upset moods as well due to poor service and communication from the restaurant.

Really darn good tacos! This is a high quality authentic Mexican restaurant and the food was really good. My tacos were really flavorful and cooked really well. Get the birria, barbcoa tacos! It's like Mexican BBQ pulled pork but in a taco ;)

Went here for me and my boyfriends birthday for the first time. Staff was so friendly and attentive! They made all the orders perfect as well! This place is more gourmet, so don’t expect your basic Mexican Restaurant food... expect amazing quality meat and delicious surprises!!! It’s a smaller menu, but you won’t find it hard to pick something. The Guacamole was super fresh too!

We had fish tacos, enchiladas and sopes. All meals were very delicious. We also had jalapeno marguaritos. They were very good. The service was the best. The wait staff was outstanding. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Sweet mother of margaritas! We had an awesome date night here. I had the Dos Locos and my husband had the tamales. Both were excellent! I had a blackberry margarita which was just the right mix of sweet and strong. Lastly don't pass up the house chips and salsa! The chips are made with local corn and the salsa had a distinctly smokey flavor. So wonderful.

Nice place. The food was delicious and there is a good selection of margaritas to try. The spicy watermelon was our favorite.

This place is amazing! The dishes are not only authentic, but very well done. All of the tacos are top notch. I got lengue, cabeza, pastor, birria, chorizo, y carnitas. El chorizo ​​no es muy picante. The chile relleno was good, as is the Don Gato burrito, and enchiladas verdes. The guacamole was also delicious. Very refreshing.

Staff/ waitresses were excellent workers! Very friendly and helpful staff. Food excellent except tamales were super hot for my taste buds. Restaurant was clean and very crowded. I'm glad we made reservations prior to going there. Will definitely be going back but will not order the tamales.

I'm giving it 5 stars for two reasons , the authenticity of the food and there is no 4 1/2 stars. Loved the food , I had the stuffed peppers and my wife the burrito. Both very good and authentic to its culture. Although the meals filled us and were perfect for us , bigger eaters might want to get an appetizer. Usual lunch crowd to enjoy the great food which was right down the street from Costco. Great little get away spot to enjoy with great prices.

I wasn't sure what to expect as I looked for a place to eat while traveling the back roads between Winchester and Millwood. Billed as gourmet Mexican food and all but by itself kind of in the middle of nowhere . But I was pleasantly surprised. Good wine and beer menu. Extensive tequila menu. The salsas were homemade and delicious, the margarita excellent, and the carnitas very tender. Typical casual Mexican decor and seating but the food is excellent. I definitely recommend it. Attentive and friendly staff. I was there on a Saturday at 5 pm and there was a lull for about 5 minutes as some people finished and left and the dinner crowd began. It was pretty full by the time I left at 6.

A lot of places get the big stuff right...fresh food, fresh and unique drinks, etc. what sets this establishment apart is the little details that make it perfect. Impeccable service, owner who is amazing and working side by side staff, the plates, the weight of cocktail glasses, interior decoration...it is an overall welcoming feel and you do feel like you are at a family table when you eat here! Must try the fried pork and naked chiles! Even if you are not in the mood for great Mexican and just a great dinner...this is a must stop! An unbelievable find with quick on and off from I-81!

This is by far the best restaurant in Winchester. Always fresh food and attentive service.
